The Strength of Your Faith
Daniel
You gave me your gun.
Without a second’s thought.
You just handed it over.
Jack gave me an order that blew my mind, but you acted like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Your confidence gave me strength.
Enough to get through this.
Enough to get home.

Jack
I don’t know why I did it.
It really didn’t make any sense.
You would’ve been a more logical choice.
But when you gave up your weapon with no hesitation, I knew I was right.
Your confidence validated my choice.
Good thing, too.
Only Daniel could’ve found the way home.

Teal’c
O’Neill’s decision puzzled me.
But as you surrendered your rifle, I knew we were covered from behind.
Your faith became mine.
And it was not misguided.
Daniel Jackson has indeed come far.
Farther than I’d ever thought, but this I sense this is only the beginning.
And I am grateful.

The End
