The End of Ice

Ice.

Most assumed he was made of it.

Ice is cold, hard, brittle, and unforgiving.

When ice breaks, it shatters, leaving jagged shards capable of slicing tissue to tatters.

Jack O’Neill had shattered once.

He’d been left with only frozen bits of scalpels for a soul.

But all ice eventually melts.

Spring comes even after the longest winter.

But sometimes it must disguise itself to do its job.  It must ride the bitter wind of winter until the time is right to reveal itself.

This time, it came concealed in human form.

This time, it had a pseudonym.

Daniel Jackson.

The End
